Purpose
Poisoning Resuscitation & Training Charity Fund for Greater China 大中華中毒救治培訓慈善基金 is a charitable fund set up by Hong Kong College of Emergency Medicine (HKCEM) to provide the most updated training in clinical toxicology for young doctors in greater China with the ultimate aim of improving the care of poisoned patients in China.
The fund is set up to support young doctors from greater China (largely mainland China and Macau) to undergo clinical toxicology training in Hong Kong. It aims to cover the minimal living expenses, travel cost and course fees of doctors who come from various regions of Greater China to receive clinical toxicology training in Hong Kong Poison Information Centre. The duration is normally 6 or 12 months, but subject to individual consideration. The candidates, upon completion of training, should undertake to contribute to the toxicology development in their homeland.
Management Structure
The fund would be managed by a Management Board which is consisted of a chairperson, two members and an external advisor.
(i) The Chairperson of the Clinical Toxicology Subcommittee of HKCEM would be the Chairperson of the Management Board;
(ii) The President of HKCEM is an essential member;
(iii) The third member should be a Council member of Hong Kong College of Emergency Medicine appointed by the Council with a term of office for 3 years or until his/her term of council expired whichever is shorter;
(iv) An external advisor will be proposed and invited by HKCEM Council with a term of office for 3 years subject to further extension.
As there are 4 members (including the external adviser) in the Management Board, the Chairperson would
have a casting vote in case of a tie in voting.
The current Members of the Board are Dr. LAU Fei Lung (Chairman), Dr. SIU Yuet Chung Axel, Dr. CHAN Yiu Cheung and Dr. AU Yiu Kai (External adviser)
Selection of candidates for sponsorship
The Management Board will meet each year to consider the most suitable candidate for the sponsorship. Subject to the availability of the fund, one to three candidates would be awarded the fund each year. The application and selection process will start in June 2021 for the sponsorship in the year 2022. The deadline of application is 31 August 2021. Application for sponsorship would be notified to potential doctors at least 3 months in advance.

目的
大中华中毒救治培训慈善基金是由香港急症科医学院（HKCEM）成立的一个慈善基金，目的是改善在中国的中毒患者的护理，為在大中华地区的年轻医生提供最新的临床毒理学培训。
该基金的成立主要是支持大中华地区（主要是中国大陆和澳门）的年轻医生在香港进行临床毒理学培训。
它的目的在于支付来自大中华各个地区的医生们在香港中毒咨询中心接受临床毒理学培训的基本生活费用、旅费和课程费用。
培训通常為期6个月或12个月，视学员个别情况而定。
学员在完成培训后应为自己地区的毒理学发展作出贡献。
管理架构
该基金将由一个管理委员会管理，由一名主席，两名成员和外务顾问。
（i）香港急症科医学院的临床毒理学小组委员会主席担任管理委员会的主席;
（ii）香港急症科医学院主席是当然成员;
（iii）第三个成员是由香港急症科医学院任命一會董担任，任期为3年或直到會董任期届满，以较短任期者为准;
（iv）外务顾问将会由香港急症科医学院提出及邀请，任期为三年并会视情况进一步延长。
作为有4名成员组成的管理委员会，在投票平局的情况下，主席将会有决定性的一票。
目前委员会成员为刘飞龙医生（主席），萧粤中医生，陈耀祥医生和欧耀佳医生（外务顾问）
学员的资助金
管理委员会将会考虑赞助每年最合适的人选。
每年可用的基金将會授予一至三位学员。
2022年的资助金申请及选拔过程将在2021年6月开始。资助金的申请将会提前至少3个月通知合符赞助资格的医生。
