| Objective: | To introduce doctors to the applications of focused transthoracic echocardiography (FTTE). To provide basic knowledge and skills training of FTTE by pre-workshop study, didactic lectures, hands on practice on live models & case interpretation exercises. |
| Special Notes for HKCA trainees: | Echo-A is a mandatory training workshop for HKCA trainees who register for the training from July 2018 onwards. Participants need to complete the pre-workshop eLearning tutorials and assessment before attending the workshop. The login and password will be sent to the participant upon confirmation of workshop registration. After the workshop, HKCA trainees (July 2018 onwards) need to complete the post workshop tutorials, 20 case studies and assessment. Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to the participant who attended the practical workshop and an e- certificate of HKCA focused Echocardiography Course will be awarded to the participants who complete both the practical Echo-A workshop and the e-learning program. For participants other than HKCA trainees or trainees registered before July 2018 , the post-workshop e-learning program will be an optional learning opportunity. |
