Announcement for PEEM

In view of the evolving COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong, candidates are reminded to closely follow any announcement on this page.

As of 25th February 2022, the PEEM would be continued as scheduled on 10th March 2022 at the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.  Candidates need to have a rapid antigen test on the morning of the examination to sit for the examination.  LeaveHomeSafe updated with vaccine pass is required for entering the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.

However, off-site examination using online platforms may be necessary should there be a further restriction of social distancing.  In preparation of this, candidates should make sure they have (1) an iPad (preferably bigger than 9.7 inch, with the minimum system requirement as specified on this link) with the Examplify application installed, (2) a smartphone for Zoom invigilation, (3) another phone for instant communication during the online examination (optional), (4) a phone stand/tripod for mounting the Zoom invigilator phone, (5) access to a private space with no disturbance from others and (6) a reliable network connection.

Instructions on sitting an online examination is available here.  Please read this carefully in case an off-site examination is needed.

Candidates who do not have an iPad can have a loan from the HKCEM before the examination. For details of loaning of iPad and technical assistance, please contact: 2871 8876.

Candidates would be notified by phone if an online examination is to be carried out.  In case the switch to online examination is in place, any candidate anticipating that online invigilation is not feasible at his/her own place due to poor network connectivity or any other constraint, shall contact the College for arrangement.  Full refund will be considered if the candidate choose to withdraw from this examination due to technical difficulties sitting in the online examination.
